Rural Areas:

Water: Most rural areas are either on a community well system or have their own well.  Water in Colorado is a scarce commodity and every drop of it is controlled by the Colorado Division of Water Resources.  It is relatively easy to get a limited use or sometimes called a household well.  It is more difficult to get one that allows watering large areas of land or livestock.

Electricity: May be provided by Colorado Springs Utilities, (719) 448-4800, but more likely by Mountain View Electric,(719) 495-2283, Intermountain R.E.A., (303) 688-3100, or a local community.

Gas: May be provided by  Colorado Springs Utilities, (719) 448-4800, but most likely your property will be heated by propane gas which is delivered and stored on your property.  Area suppliers are: Glaser Gas Inc., 215 Auburn Dr., Colorado Springs, (719) 596-4765, AmeriGas, 3460 Capital Dr., Colorado Springs, (800) 462-1563.  Glaser Gas Inc. also services Woodland park and nearby mountain communities.
